Bridgewater, MA - Beta Dyne, Inc. is proud to announce two additional case options for its popular Low-Noise 10W DC/DC Converter series that brings ultra low noise performance to equipment and applications that employ older industry pinout arrangements. DC/DC converters that fit these older sockets currently limit the user to a 10% input voltage range. That is, until now. With the new case options, our Low-Noise 10W DC/DC Converter series can now be dropped into these older systems and immediately improve performance and flexibility by offering a wide 2:1 input voltage range (with 3:1 and 4:1 available upon request) and with less than 5mV of output noise.

The new case options increase the choice of industry pinout arrangements offered by the Low-Noise 10W DC/DC Converter series to a total of three. The series was originally launched in January 2004 with a standard 9-pin pinout. The new A1 case features a 2:3 pin arrangement and the A2 case features a 3:3 pin arrangement

The Low-Noise 10W DC/DC Converter series incorporates low switching noise techniques at its input and output sections. Output noise is reduced to 5mVpp through the use of low dropout linear regulators, while a patented control circuit maintains minimum constant dropout voltage over line and load temperature and the output adjust range. The converters offer a wide 2:1 input voltage range (with 3:1 and 4:1 available upon request). Standard features include less than 5mV of output noise, efficiency up to 86%, single and dual outputs, adjustable outputs (available on single output models), soft start, short circuit protection, 1mA off state current, 250mV dropout linear regulators, dual output tracking linear regulator, 5µS transient response time, and six-sided shielding.

The converters come packaged in a 2.0 x 1.0 x 0.395-inch coated metal case. The standard operating temperature range is -40°C to +75°C; optional versions with an extended operating temperature range of -55°C to +85°C are also available.

Units are available 4-6 weeks ARO. Pricing for the Low-Noise 10W series starts at $55.60 each for the single output models and $59.30 for the dual output models; discounts available for larger quantities.
