Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced an updated version of its PCI Express electrical performance validation and compliance software that allows design engineers to test their devices to ensure compliance with the PCI Express 1.1 and PCI Express 2.0 electrical specifications for add-in cards and motherboard systems. The software runs on Agilent 54855A Infiniium oscilloscopes and 80000 Series oscilloscopes.
Agilent's N5393A PCI Express electrical performance validation and compliance software provides engineers with a fast and easy way to verify and debug PCI Express designs. The PCI Express electrical test software allows users to automatically execute PCI Express electrical checklist tests, displaying the results in a flexible HTML report format. In addition to the measurement data, the report provides a margin analysis that shows how closely the device passed or failed each test.
The N5393A PCI Express electrical test software includes an option to use the clock recovery method employed in the official PCI-SIG Signal Quality Test Methodology ("SigTest") application, ensuring that test results are consistent with results from that application. The PCI-SIG will begin official testing using the PCI Express 1.1 standard at its compliance workshop in Taipei, Taiwan, to be held Oct. 23 - 27, 2006. |
