| LeCroy Introduces New Advanced Mezzanine Card Probe for PCI Express Analysis | | | |
LeCroy Corporation, a leading supplier of oscilloscopes and serial data test solutions, today introduced a new Advanced Mezzanine Card (AMC) Interposer for the PETracer™ PCI Express Protocol Analyzer product line. This new AMC Interposer makes it easier to analyzer traffic between AMC modules and their respective host systems by decreasing probing setup times.
The AMC card is a modular add-in card that can attach to a carrier board or backplane. It is considered the telecommunication industry's next-generation mezzanine standard supporting PCI Express in both AdvancedTCA® as well as MicroTCA systems. In the past, tight tolerances between AMC mezzanine cards and systems have made it difficult to probe protocol traffic between interfaces. The new interposer minimizes signal interference by using passive tapping, allowing equipment to be analyzed while it functions normally.
“AMC module developers can now detect protocol problems during the system integration stage using top-of-the-line protocol verification and performance tools,” said John Wiedemeier, Product Marketing Manager, LeCroy. “LeCroy is committed to developing tools that help engineers get their work done quickly and insure quality to their customers.”
