Washington, D.C. — Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc. (FMA) will feature WiMAX-compliant boards for base station and subscriber station applications built using the Fujitsu WiMAX SoC at the annual WCA Symposium at the Marriott Wardman in Washington, D.C.

These boards, developed by leading wireless telecommunications equipment manufacturers worldwide, will be highlighted at Fujitsu’s booth, number 300. The Fujitsu MB87M3400 WiMAX SoC has been designed to enable deployment of BWA equipment for both base stations and subscriber stations in licensed or license-exempt bands below 11GHz. It is the industry's most integrated, modular, scalable, and cost-efficient mixed-signal baseband processor solution.

Fujitsu will also announce that MiTAC Technology, a leading manufacturer in Taiwan, has selected the Fujitsu WiMAX SoC to design and manufacture cost-efficient WiMAX-compliant residential customer premise equipment.
