| Microchip Technology Announces Low-Power, High-Accuracy Operational Amplifiers (Op Amps) | | Microchip Technology Inc., a leading provider of microcontroller and analog semiconductors, today announced it has expanded its linear product portfolio into the low power, high-precision arena with the MCP6031, MCP6032, MCP6033 and MCP6034 (MCP603X) operational amplifiers (op amps). The new, sub-microampere amplifiers have a quiescent current of only 900 nA and a bandwidth of 10 kHz, with a maximum voltage offset of just 150 μV at 25 degrees Celsius. The highly accurate amplifiers are ideal for handheld, portable electronic devices used in the medical, industrial and consumer markets. | | Leer la noticia completa | Miércoles, 18 Abril, 2007 - 07:16 | |
| Microchip Technology Achieves Number-One Position in Worldwide | | Microchip Technology Inc., a leading provider of microcontroller and analog semiconductors, has secured the number-one position in worldwide 8-bit microcontroller revenue, according to industry analyst firm Gartner Dataquest’s 2006 rankings. Achieving the number-one ranking in revenue solidifies Microchip’s position as the global market-share leader in 8-bit microcontrollers, having gained the number-one ranking for unit shipments back in 2002. Additionally, Microchip expects to ship its two billionth Flash microcontroller this quarter. | | Leer la noticia completa | Miércoles, 18 Abril, 2007 - 07:15 | |
| | | Industry's First Inductorless, Class G Speaker Amplifier Doubles Output Power and Increases Battery Life |
|
Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX9730, a 2.4W, single-supply, mono, Class G speaker amplifier. The MAX9730's Class G architecture and integrated charge-pump power supply enable this device to deliver two times more output power than conventional Class AB or Class D speaker amplifiers provide from a lithium-ion (Li+) battery. The charge pump can deliver up to 500mA over a 2.7V to 5.5V supply-voltage range, guaranteeing up to 2.4W into an 8Ohm load from a 3.3V supply. The MAX9730 significantly reduces the size and cost of the total solution by eliminating the boost converter and large inductor commonly needed to achieve the same performance—this makes it ideal for cellular phones, notebook computers, and other portable applications in which board space is limited.
