| Harris Corporation Team Completes Cutover of FAA's Legacy Satellite System to New FTI Network | | WASHINGTON, DC, — Harris Corporation today announced that it has successfully completed the cutover of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) legacy satellite network, FAATSAT, to the new FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI) satellite network, or FTI-SAT. The FTI-SAT transition affected 85 earth stations and 200 satellite services and was completed on schedule in just over 12 months as part of the overall FTI program. Harris is the prime contractor and system architect for the FTI program that was awarded in 2002. Completed ahead of schedule in June 2006, the Mission Support network replaced the FAA's legacy, wide-area Administrative Data Transmission Network (ADTN) and is now online and being used to transport administrative functions such as payroll and e-mail.
