DUAL BUCK CONTROLLER REDUCES BILL OF MATERIAL COSTS IN DC-DC CONVERTER APPLICATIONS

Norwood, MA - About the ADP1823 Dual Buck Controller Analog Devices is expanding its family of power management switching regulators with the ADP1823 dual buck controller with pulse-width modulation (PWM), which provides high-efficiency dc-to-dc power conversion in a range of applications. The device generates two independent output rails, as low as 0.6V, from an input of 3 V to 20 V and enables synchronization to an external clock up to 1 MHz. The high switching frequency generated by the two channels reduces the amount of capacitance required by the device and reduces the bill of materials (BOM) and related costs, while the expanded voltage range enables a flexible solution for designers of power management systems.
