SAN JOSE, Calif., - Cypress Semiconductor Corp. today announced that it intends to make an initial public offering of the common stock of its silicon solar power subsidiary, SunPower Corporation. The offering is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2005, subject to SEC effectiveness and the receipt of all necessary state approvals. This press release is being issued pursuant to Rule 135 under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and shall not constitute an offer to sell or the solicitation of an offer to buy SunPower common stock. | |||||
