LT6559: Low Cost 5V/300MHz Triple Video Amplifier Supports 1080p High Definition Format

MILPITAS, CA – Linear Technology Corporation introduces the LT6559, a single-supply triple amplifier with an industry-leading combination of small size, high speed performance and low cost, making it ideal for applications such as 1080p High Definition video. Available in a tiny 3mm x 3mm QFN package, the LT6559 offers excellent AC performance with 150MHz 0.1dB flatness bandwidth, 800 V/us slew rate and a wide output swing of 1.15V to 3.85V on a single 5V supply.

“Each amplifier has its own enable pin, which facilitates individual channel control,” says Tim Regan, applications manager. “This feature provides great flexibility in forming various multiplexer, cable-driver and ADC driver functions at low cost.” When enabled, each amplifier draws only 3.9mA and when disabled, current consumption drops to only 0.1uA per amplifier.

Applications include consumer video-playback equipment, KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) switches and LCD projectors and displays. Specified to operate on either single 5V or ±5V supplies, the LT6559 is available now starting at just $0.95 each in quantities of 1,000.
