| Harris Technical Services Corporation's Enterprise Services Group Achieves ISO 9001:2000 Certification | |||||
FALLS CHURCH, Virginia, — Harris Corporation, an international communications and information technology company, today announced that the Enterprise Services business area of its Harris Technical Services Corporation subsidiary has achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification. The Enterprise Services business unit provides support to the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) Maintenance Technical Support Center (MTSC) in Norman, Oklahoma. ISO 9001:2000 specifies quality system management requirements that enable an organization to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products or services that meet customer and other applicable regulatory requirements. It also aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the quality system, including processes for continual improvement. "The achievement of ISO 9001:2000 certification shows our customers and our employees that we are dedicated to customer service, to fulfilling the mission of the USPS and to continuous improvement," said Dan Garrison, vice president of Enterprise Services, Harris Technical Services Corporation. "We are extremely pleased to achieve this milestone and look forward to continuing our strong, long-term relationship with the USPS." The Enterprise Services team staffs the MTSC in Oklahoma and provides a broad range of services for the postal maintenance community, including nationwide technical support through a 24X7X365 helpdesk call center. Harris also provides general maintenance support for all USPS equipment nationwide, as well as writing and printing of USPS technical manuals and bulletins, photography, and video and DVD creation services for training. In addition, Harris maintains desktop and laptop computers at nearly 300 USPS locations and provides support to the agency's telecommunications and security network infrastructure.
