| Industry Leaders Standardize on NVIDIA HD Platforms | |||||
SANTA CLARA, CA —NVIDIA Corporation today announced that industry leading companies, including Adobe, Autodesk, and VizRT, will be displaying their latest NVIDIA based HD content creation and delivery solutions at IBC 2005 September 9-13 in Amsterdam. These unique platforms feature commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products from NVIDIA, a significant transition in an industry traditionally dependent on proprietary systems that are costly to install, manage and upgrade. As digital TV sales continue to grow at a tremendous rate, from 648,000 units in 2000 to over twenty million units this year , so does the demand for HD content, such as television programs, sporting events, and commercials. In order to meet this demand, broadcasters and content creators are looking for an easier and more cost effective way to produce and broadcast this content. Solutions incorporating NVIDIA products are allowing companies to widely deploy platforms used to create, edit, and deliver the HD content that will satisfy the needs of this rapidly expanding industry.
