National Instruments Hosts Technical Conferences in 84 Cities Worldwide

National Instruments today announced open registration for the 2005-2006 NIDays worldwide conference and NI Technical Symposium, the company’s annual series of virtual instrumentation conferences that reaches 84 cities and 40 countries. From October 2005 through May 2006, engineers and scientists from around the globe will attend the conferences for new product presentations; hands-on, technology-focused sessions; and exhibits on the latest solutions in design, control and test.

An estimated 14,000 engineers, scientists, developers, educators and National Instruments Alliance Partners will attend the worldwide NIDays conferences across Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Africa. NI Technical Symposium brings similar conferences to 26 cities across the United States and Mexico. During both conferences, attendees can exchange ideas on innovative approaches to technical challenges, study future technology trends in virtual instrumentation and learn firsthand how NI software and hardware increases productivity and lowers costs.

“Over the past few years, the use of virtual instrumentation for design, control and test has rapidly expanded,” said John Graff, NI vice president of marketing and customer operations. “NIDays and NI Technical Symposium sessions focus on how the latest advancements in computing, networking and embedded technologies are impacting engineers and scientists in a broad range of industries and applications.”

Conference attendees also have the opportunity to learn about new NI software – the LabVIEW Embedded Development Module and the LabVIEW DSP Module, which extend graphical programming to embedded product design – and new NI hardware innovations including PCI Express and USB high-speed data acquisition devices. These products offer greater flexibility, faster system development and increased system performance. Additionally, attendees will hear from experts on the hottest industry topics during keynote presentations and technical sessions.

NIDays and NI Technical Symposium build on the success of NIWeek, the worldwide virtual instrumentation conference and exhibition held annually since 1995 near the company’s headquarters in Austin, Texas. NIWeek 2005 concluded in late August with a record attendance of more than 2,300 people who participated in hands-on training, interactive technical sessions, summits, exhibitions and workshops. National Instruments designed NIDays and NI Technical Symposium to bring the excitement and learning opportunities of NIWeek to customers around the world in their native languages and with local NI experts.
