| Industry Experts Share New Strategies for Increasing Uptime with Predictive Main | | | |
Reliability and maintenance professionals seeking to improve the consistency and cost-effectiveness of their maintenance programs now can learn more about intelligent predictive maintenance (PdM) strategies through a series of free Web events hosted by National Instruments. Beginning Jan. 26, at 1 p.m. (CST), and continuing every Thursday through the end of February, this series offers live demonstrations and discussions with leading industry experts on topics ranging from power and vibration monitoring techniques to ultrasonic sensing and automated thermography.
Intelligent maintenance involves consistently monitoring a system for potential or impending machinery problems that could later result in costly system shutdown or injury to other system components. Discussions on strategies for building intelligent maintenance systems include:
o Jan. 26: "An Introduction to Intelligent Maintenance Systems," presented by Dr. Jay Lee, director of the Center for Intelligent Maintenance Systems o Feb. 2: "Sound Advice in Ultrasonic NDT Test," presented by Olympus NDT and National Instruments o Feb. 9: "New Considerations for Vibration Monitoring," presented by IMI Sensors and National Instruments o Feb. 16: "The Benefits of Power System Acquisition, Analysis, and Dissemination," presented by Dennis Erickson, IEEE fellow and power system expert o Feb. 23: "Techniques for Automating Thermography," presented by FLIR and National Instruments
