| Micrel Launches Miniature 2.5mm x 2.5mm Dual 150mA LDO Regulator | |||||
San Jose, Calif. - Micrel Inc., (Nasdaq:MCRL) announced the MIC5264, a new dual LDO regulator offered in a miniature 2.5mm x 2.5mm MLFTM package. The device gives designers a solution that offers a 30 percent size reduction from previous generation products. The MIC5264 is lead-free (RoHS compliant) and currently sampling. Pricing starts at $0.49 in 1K quantities. “The MIC5264 offers a very versatile, extremely small LDO regulator solution for portable power applications,” said Ralf Muenster, Micrel’s director of marketing, power products. “The MIC5264 pushes the envelope for smaller and smaller IC solutions while maintaining high reliability and the performance necessary for today’s space-conscious applications.” The MIC5264 is designed to provide 150mA on each independently controllable output and comes with a range of fixed voltage options. Each output has low output noise and high power supply rejection ratio, along with excellent transient response and low current consumption, making the MIC5264 a multipurpose solution, ideal for a wide variety of portable power products including RF and digital applications. | |||||
