MAGAZINE’S “BEST OF SENSORS EXPO” AWARD | Norwood - Analog Devices, Inc. (NYSE: ADI), a
global leader in high-performance semiconductors for signal-processing applications, today announced that the
AD7745, the industry’s first capacitance-to-digital converter (CDC) received Sensors Magazine’s “Best of Sensors
Expo” award during its annual conference held last week in Chicago. One of only three “gold” products cited for
excellence, the AD7745 received top honors in the category of “sensor components.” The CDC is a high-resolution
sigma-delta converter that accepts direct capacitance inputs and enables on a single chip a level of precision
previously only possible with conventional analog voltage-to-digital converters. This eliminates the discrete
components needed for traditional multi-chip solutions and makes possible a cost reduction of as much as 65
percent.
