Es más frecuente que la confianza sea generada por la ignorancia que por el conocimiento: son los que conocen poco y no los que conocen mucho, los que afirman tan positivamente que este o aquel problema nunca será solucionado por la ciencia.

| TRIPLE DIFFERENTIAL RECEIVER PROVIDES SINGLE-CHIP ALTERNATIVE TO
RECEIVING VIDEO SIGNALS OVER TWISTED PAIR CABLE | Analog Devices is introducing a triple
differential receiver, the AD8143, that offers a compact single-chip solution for receiving differential signals
over twisted pair cable. The AD8143 is primarily designed to receive RGB (red-green-blue) signals having resolutions
up to 1600 x 1200; however, it can also be used to receive any other type of differential analog signal or
high-speed data transmission. When compared with multi-chip solutions, the AD8143 reduces board space by up to 60
percent and decreases costs by as much as 45 percent. | Leer la noticia completa | Lunes, 04 Julio, 2005 - 06:15
Freescale ramps production of 16-bit HCS12X microcontroller family | AUSTIN, Texas – Freescale Semiconductor’s HCS12X family of 16-bit microcontrollers (MCUs)
is now available to the general market. The HCS12X family offers an easy performance upgrade (up to 40MHz) for
current HCS12 MCU customers and gives new customers a powerful and flexible platform to develop complex control
systems for industrial applications. | Leer la noticia completa | Lunes, 04 Julio, 2005 - 06:14
ARTESYN 2ND GENERATION INTERMEDIATE BUS CONVERTERS RAISE THE POWER BAR
TO 450 WATTS | FRAMINGHAM, Mass. - Artesyn Technologies (Nasdaq:ATSN) has launched a new
series of ultra high efficiency Typhoon™ quarter-brick intermediate bus converters (IBCs) that generate up to 50%
more useable power than previous generation models. The series includes the IBC38AQT unregulated, fixed ratio DC
transformer for computing, and two semi-regulated models with input voltage ranges optimized for telecom (IBC28AQW)
and networking (IBC30AQS) applications. All three IBCs employ a new, leading edge conversion topology to maximize
efficiency and power density. The unregulated IBC38AQT, for example, can deliver up to 450W of output power – 150W
more than its one-quarter brick predecessor – with an efficiency of over 95%, and has a power density in excess of
337W/in3. | Leer la noticia completa | Lunes, 04 Julio, 2005 - 06:05
| | Siemens VDO integrates Night Vision in the head-up display | Siemens VDO Automotive is integrating a night vision system in the head-up display to
effectively support nighttime driving in the future. With infrared technology and high-performance electronics, it
literally provides vision in the dark and under poor visibility conditions, helping drivers to spot pedestrians and
other potential accident hazards on the road. The result is a considerable increase in safety at night when many
accidents occur. Night Vision is one of the functionalities within a network of driver assistance systems that
Siemens VDO is currently developing. | Leer la noticia completa | Lunes, 04 Julio, 2005 - 06:01

| | Micron Technology, Inc. Introduces Very Low Profile Memory Modules in
the 512 Megabyte and 1 Gigabyte Densities | Boise, Idaho - Micron Technology, Inc., today
announced the availability of 512 megabyte (MB) and 1 gigabyte (GB) double data rate (DDR) and DDR2 very low profile
(VLP) registered dual-inline memory modules (RDIMMs). Micron’s VLP DDR RDIMMs are designed for space and thermal
optimization in server applications including rack-mounted blade servers. Micron’s VLP DDR RDIMMs enable server
design flexibility with a low profile height of 18.3 millimeters (0.72 inches), using vertical rather than angled
memory sockets. The use of vertical sockets allows server system designers to realize a 62 percent reduction in
memory area compared to traditional DDR RDIMM designs and increased air flow reducing thermal issues. | Leer la noticia completa | Jueves, 30 Junio, 2005 - 07:56
