Norwood, MA - About the ADP1823 Dual Buck Controller Analog Devices is expanding its family of power management switching regulators with the ADP1823 dual buck controller with pulse-width modulation (PWM), which provides high-efficiency dc-to-dc power conversion in a range of applications. The device generates two independent output rails, as low as 0.6V, from an input of 3 V to 20 V and enables synchronization to an external clock up to 1 MHz. The high switching frequency generated by the two channels reduces the amount of capacitance required by the device and reduces the bill of materials (BOM) and related costs, while the expanded voltage range enables a flexible solution for designers of power management systems.

Norwood, MA - Analog Devices Inc. (NYSE: ADI), a global leader in high performance semiconductors for signal-processing applications, today unveiled the newest addition to its iSensor™ family of highly integrated intelligent sensors, a low power, highly programmable gyroscope that contains all of the embedded calibration, tuning, and control functionality required to detect the rate at which a system is rotating. The single-component solution, which leverages Analog Devices’ iMEMS® Motion Signal Processing™ technology, requires less than half the design space of existing multi-component discrete solutions, but offers more advanced control functionality. Using the iSensor gyroscope, designers of industrial applications where control is essential – such as instrumentation, platform stabilization and navigation – can realize the benefits of inertial sensing in their systems at a lower cost and up to six-month faster development times.

LT3475: Dual 36V Step-Down LED Driver Delivers up to 1.5A/Channel & Offers 3000:1 True Color PWM Dimming
MILPITAS, CA – Linear Technology Corporation announces the LT3475, a dual 36V, up to 2MHz step-down DC/DC converter designed to operate as a two-channel constant- current LED driver. Each channel has an internal sense resistor and dimming control, making it ideal for driving LEDs requiring up to 1.5A of current. One channel switches 180 degrees out-of-phase with the other, reducing input ripple. High output current accuracy is independently maintained for each channel over a wide range of 50mA to 1.5A,while unique True Color PWMTM circuitry allows a dimming range of 3000:1 without any of the color shift typically associated with LED current dimming.
