National Instruments today announced that Microsoft Corp. selected an NI LabVIEW and PXI-based test solution for its Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system controllers. Micrel Rolls Out Two LVPECL And LVDS Clock Synthesizer Timing System-On-a-Chip IC Solutions
San Jose, Calif. — Micrel Inc. today released two precision, low-jitter clock synthesizers that provide an extremely high level of integration for system timing generation. The SY89537L and SY89538L include a PLL that accepts a crystal or reference input, multiple clock dividers, and four LVPECL outputs and one LVDS output bank of three that are all externally programmed for output frequencies between 29MHz and 756MHz. Both devices are fully released to production and available in volume quantities. Pricing starts at $9.94 for 1K quantity.

TI MSP430 MCU First to Break 500 Nano-amp Barrier
HOUSTON – Continuing to demonstrate its leadership in ultra-low power microcontrollers (MCUs), Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) announced today that the newest MSP430F20xx low pin-count, ultra-low power MCU series will deliver a 500 nanoamp standby mode utilizing unique very low-power oscillator (VLO) technology. TI Introduces 50 Percent Smaller, Pb-Free, Boost and Buck-Boost Power Modules with Wide Output Voltage Range
DALLAS - Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) today announced two new non-isolated DC/DC power modules for telecommunications, industrial control and measurement systems that are 50 percent smaller than the previous generation devices and are Pb-free. The devices feature input voltages from 2.9 V to 5.5 V and adjustable wide-output voltages of either 5 V to 15 V (boost) or -3.3 V to 15 V (buck-boost).
