ANALOG DEVICES’ ONLINE DESIGN TOOL SPEEDS AMPLIFIER EVALUATION AND
SELECTION | Norwood - Analog Devices Inc. (NYSE: ADI), the world leader in amplifiers, today
announced the availability of a parametric evaluation tool for amplifiers that enables system designers to select,
evaluate and troubleshoot voltage feedback operational amplifiers (op amps) from Analog Devices. By using parametric
data to mathematically model the general behavior of a selected amplifier, designers are able to select a component,
quickly configure a circuit, apply a signal and evaluate the amplifier’s general performance. | Leer la noticia completa | Martes, 30 Agosto, 2005 - 09:28
International Rectifier Introduces 160A D2Pak MOSFET for Synchronous
Rectification and Active ORing Applications |
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - August 2005 - International Rectifier,
IR®(NYSE: IRF), a world leader in power management technology, today introduced the 160A-rated, seven-pin
IRF2907ZS-7PPbF, expanding the IR family of high performance 75V and 100V HEXFET® synchronous rectification
MOSFETs. The 160A rating provides an additional safety factor against surge current in switching applications.

| | STMicroelectronics Moves 128-Mbit NAND Flash Chip to 90nm Production
Technology |
Geneva – STMicroelectronics announced that production
of its 128-Mbit NAND Flash device – the NAND128W3A2BN6E – has been transferred to 90nm process
technology. The shrink to 90nm reduces both the cost and the power consumption of the memory chip, which is widely
used in cost-sensitive consumer equipment such as Digital Still Cameras, Audio Recorders, PDAs, Set-Top Boxes
(STBs), Printers, and bundled Flash Cards. The NAND128 is currently the only 128-Mbit Flash memory on the market to
be produced in 90nm technology. The new chip confirms ST’s commitment to continuing product development of its
low density ‘Small-Page’ NAND Flash memory products, in support of customers already using the family in
volume production. The NAND128W3A2BN6E is a 3V product, in a TSOP package, intended for consumer applications. Other
family members – the 256-Mbit, 512-Mbit, both in 3V and in 1.8V versions – will also be moved from 120nm
to 90nm technology in the coming months.

| | High-Voltage, 350mA, Adjustable Linear High-Brightness LED (HB LED)
Driver | The MAX16800 current regulator operates from a 6.5V to 40V input voltage range and
delivers up to a total of 350mA to one or more strings of high-brightness LEDs. The output current of the MAX16800
is adjusted by using an external current-sense resistor in series with the LEDs. An enable input allows wide-range
“pulsed” dimming. Wave-shaping circuitry reduces EMI. The differential current-sense input increases noise immunity.
The MAX16800 is well suited for applications requiring high-voltage input and is able to withstand automotive
load-dump events up to 40V. An on-board pass element minimizes external components while providing ±3.5% output
current accuracy. Additional features include a 5V regulated output and short-circuit and thermal protection.
The MAX16800 is available in a thermally enhanced, 5mm x 5mm, 16-pin TQFN package and is specified
over the automotive -40°C to +125°C temperature range. | Leer la noticia completa | Martes, 30 Agosto, 2005 - 12:52
